Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is part of IACA’s governance structure. IACA’s published description places the Board alongside the General Assembly and states that its decision-making arrangements are intended to represent different interests and protect independence and impartiality.

Governance with impartiality. Accreditation decisions must be supported by objective evidence and handled under the applicable rules. Governance arrangements help protect confidence in the accreditation process and in the results it recognizes.

Board-level governance

The Board provides governance and oversight within the association. At a high level, board governance supports IACA’s direction, responsible oversight of its activities and the arrangements that help maintain confidence in accreditation work. The detailed powers, membership and appointment arrangements are set by IACA’s current governing documents.

Principles that guide the work

Independence

Governance should support impartial accreditation and guard against any one interest improperly influencing outcomes.

Fairness

Applicants and accredited bodies are treated objectively under the requirements and procedures that apply to their scope.

Technical confidence

Specialist committees and qualified assessors contribute relevant expertise to accreditation activities.

Current Board information

IACA’s public pages identify the Board as a governance body but do not provide a verified current roster, appointment dates or terms of office. For the current membership or governing documents, please contact IACA directly.
