IACAAB accreditation programs use applicable international, regional and national standards to define competence and consistent operation. The standard selected depends on the conformity assessment activity and requested scope.
Using the applicable standard
- Identify the standard specified for your accreditation program.
- Use the current published edition and record any applicable amendments.
- Translate the standard into controlled procedures, responsibilities and records.
- Review changes through internal audits and management review.
Applicant responsibility
Applicants should confirm the applicable standard and sector criteria with IACAAB before submitting an application. A standard alone does not establish competence; the organization must demonstrate effective implementation for its requested scope.
