This page explains how IACAAB accreditation programs are organized and how assessment reports communicate evidence, findings and decisions.
Program information
Each program defines the eligible activity, applicable standard, scope rules, application requirements, assessment method and ongoing surveillance arrangements. Applicants should use the program that matches their technical activity.
Assessment reports
Assessment reports record the activities reviewed, objective evidence examined, findings identified and conclusions reached by the assessment team. Reports are prepared clearly so the applicant can understand the result and respond to any nonconformity.
Responding to findings
- Review each finding and identify its root cause.
- Submit correction, corrective action and supporting evidence within the stated time.
- Confirm that action is implemented and effective.
- Keep records for future surveillance and reassessment.
Decision and follow-up
The accreditation decision is made through the applicable IACAAB process after reviewing the assessment evidence and responses. The approved scope and any conditions are communicated to the organization.
