Mutual Recognition Agreement

International Cooperation and Mutual Recognition Agreement

The IACA is a member of three major international organizations and is a party to their Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA).

In 2002, it became a full member of the APAC (Asia-Pacific Accreditation Cooperation Organization), in 2005 as a member of the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Organization).

The main criterion for accession of these international organizations to the Agreement on Mutual Recognition is the accreditation body’s “Conformity Assessment. General requirements for accreditation of conformity assessment bodies. ISO / IEC 17011: 2017” standard.

Accreditation cooperation organizations conduct periodic external assessments of the compliance of member countries’ accreditation bodies with the requirements of the above international standards.

In accordance with APAC’s plan, a preliminary review of the documents of the US Accreditation Body was conducted at the same level from April 10 to May 8, 2020, and APAC extended the MRA certificate.

The results of accreditation testing and calibration laboratories and technical inspection bodies accredited in Mongolia shall be recognized by 97 acceding countries without duplication.

An accredited conformity assessment organization may apply for the following information by applying the accreditation mark of the international accreditation cooperation organization in combination with the national accreditation mark.
